Physical Education
The intent of the PE curriculum and provision offered at Kings Priory is to inspire pupils to embed physical activity or sport into their daily lives and continue this beyond their school years and towards career pathways.
We give every child the key fundamental skills as a foundation to promoting physical activity. This essential physical development will allow these skills to be implemented at a more advanced level within sport and activity.
By Year 6 pupils will have had the opportunity to represented the school in a sporting activity against another school on numerous occasions, taking these fundamental skills into more formal activities. Giving pupils and opportunity to express themselves in competition at their level.
We endeavour to educate pupils as to how physical activity can benefit daily life and if beneficial to life long health. We explore job opportunities with the areas of sport, physical activity and wellbeing.
We give pupils the opportunity to attain qualifications in the subject so some can develop their knowledge further before studying the area at university and finding job opportunities in this field.
